14,703 acre brush fire that
started in LAC 75’s area near the Oat Mountain Radio
Transmission Site and burned through Porter Ranch,
Indian Hills, Twin Lakes and Chatsworth areas. 15 homes and
63 outbuildings were destroyed with and additional 11 homes
damaged. The cost to fight the fire was approximately $12.6
million. Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles
City Fire Department, Ventura County Fire Department and CalFire along with Local Agencies helped to contain this
